What is Spyware?

SYMPTOMS:

• The PC works exceptionally slow, especially when surfing the Internet.
• The Internet Explorer opens window advertising, which has no connection to the visited site
• The Browser-Homepage changed (see Browser Hijacking)
• In the Favorites folder are links that are not stored by the user.
• The PC automatically connects to the Internet.
• The firewall reports continuous attempts by programs that try to connect to the Internet.

PROTECTION CHANCES:

• use the latest anti-spyware program
• install an Anti-spyware program (if not already present) and delete and block spyware
• install only necessary software from the Internet
• open only Links in e-mails, if they are trustworthy
• keep the system still uptodate
