Fight of the Viruses

1. No Panic in the Titanic

Panicful deleting of Files helps in no case. This approach could even make your system unstable, and delete important files that your system needs. Therefore, it is always good to ask specialists first, to know what you can delete. In addition, every problem has a solution, please be patient.

2. To analyze the Virus

What did the virus scanner report you. What's the name of the virus? Where is it? What kind of virus is it? Is it a new variant? Ask your anti-virus program producer. Visit the manufacturers website and look for the virus. You can often find out how dangerous the virus is and what it can do on your system. You should be able to find the name of the virus in a search engine, search and see if you can find something which can help you. In addition, you can also ask our [SYP] team the following questions, we will happy to assist you.

3. Update System

It is always good to update your operating system. Outdated versions offer a very high risk of infections. It is not only important to have a updated operating system, the next step is also important:

5. Combat the virus

Now you know where the virus is, which variant of virus it is and how dangerous the virus is. Your system is uptodate and you have the latest virusscanner. Now we are going to eliminate the virus

 We recommend:

Load your operating system in the Safe Mode (to load the Safe Mode in  Windows press when loading Windows F8 or open "Run" => write "msconfig" and click "OK" then press => "BOOT.INI" => activate at startup options"/SAFEBOOT" ), and turn off the System Restore (right click with mouse at "Computer" => "Settings" => open "System restore" => activate "Disable System Restore in every hard disk" => "Apply" => "OK"), then do full system scans. Scan all files on your system, and delete all threats found with your Antivirus - and Anti - Spyware programe. Then turn on the System Restore (to reactivate the System Restore click with right mouse "Computer" => "Settings" => open "System restore => deactivate "Disable System Restore at every hard disk" => "Apply" => "OK")  load your operating in normal mode (to load the normal mode again click Start => Run => write "msconfig" and click "OK" then press => "BOOT.INI" => deactivate at startup options "/SAFEBOOT").

(For the safety of the virus has been deleted) Download HijackThis and do a scan with logfile, do also (if possible) a log file of your full system scans and post us them all to help (Online Help & Support) or by E-mail to "j_soliman@gmx.at".

Search the virus/es in the folder/s where the found's were made. It should no longer be found there. If the folders are unimportant remove them. (The folder's you are looking for can be hidden. To see hidden folder's at Microsoft Windows click on "Tools" => Folder Options' => 'View' => activate "Show hidden files and folder's"  and click "Apply" => "OK" button)

Now, there should no longer messages appear, which tells you that there is a virus on your system. The virus should have been successfully eliminated. In addition, we recommend you to scan your computer for viruses and spyware (in normal mode), to update your Anti Virus Software and to block and immunize threats at least 1x per week.
